DTC may cater to 22 new routes

New Delhi: DTC,whichis managing with some 4,800 fully operational buses,will nowbe askedtocater to22 new routes. The route rationalization projectby DIMTS hasbeen cleared by the government committee. The suggestions made, such as introduction of new routes, will soon be taken up in a phased manner, say transport department officials. On Wednesday, the panel formed by Delhi government submitted its report to the department. DIMTS had studied 791 routes and the three-member panel looked at pending issues. The transport minister said route rationalization would be done in a phased manner. TNN
